Reknowned 19th-century artist John James Audubon's watercolors of waterbirds including: Trumpeter Swan, Horned Puffin, Blue-winged Teal, Little Blue Heron, Great Egret, American White Pelican, Reddish Egret and the Greater Flamingo.
Preparatory imagery for the book 'The Birds of America' (1827-38), the images were collected as part of the New-York Historical Society's original mandate was to collect natural history material. Today, they represent the largest single repository of Auduboniana in the world (435 watercolors). Includes a storycard recounting highlights from Audubon's life and work. Produced in collaboration with The New-York Historical Society. Shop for the companion cube from the same collection: Songbirds of America - Audubon.
